Julie E. Lee is a historian specializing in late17th to dawn of 20th century Louisiana.  Through meticulous research and study of the various records on Louisiana, Julie walks the journey of her ancestors who were founding families of the Louisiana colony.  A relatively unknown and remarkable piece of Louisiana and American history, it is their story she liberates through non-fiction publications, presentations and events, as well as web-based products. While retracing the footprints of Louisiana's past, she was inspired by the extraordinary strides of ordinary heroines and heroes and their early struggles for civil rights. Julie brings a slice of this history alive in her first novel the best seat on the bus.
